About Me

My name is Chickie Celli, owner and instructor at Long Pond Pottery.

Chickie Celli is the owner and full-time instructor at Long Pond pottery and has been teaching for over 20 years. Long Pond Pottery was birthed during the 2020 pandemic. The birch tree logo was chosen as birch are symbolic of renewal, adaptability, new beginnings, and the promise of what is to come. I hope that your time here creating will restore you and unlock your creativity.

Chickie will enthusiastically share her love and knowledge of clay with artists of all ages and abilities as they seek to create meaningful art. The shop is fully accessible and we will do our best to make accommodations to meet each artist’s unique needs.

I love to spark imaginations in children and instill in them the desire to create. I have evolved myself as an artist over the last several years as I continued to remain curious about clay and seek to understand it. I truly love to work with clay! I feel there are many things we can do to express ourselves creatively. Art is the voice of the heart. I love to help others discover the joy ( and sometimes frustration!) of this raw earthy medium. Remember, Creativity takes courage! Be Brave!
